Tidbits
Its been an eventual week! For starters, I officially started doing the work that I was hired to do this past Monday. It was a big day… a day that had been talked about, analyzed and planned for several years. I had the president of my company, director of operations and my regional manager all prying over my shoulder this week as I tried to make everything run smoothly. And smooth it was. For the next two weeks I will have continued eyes 
on me as this contract gets underway, but hopefully they will stand a little further in the distance. But all is well. I absolutly love what I’m doing. Finally.
This week also was very exciting as one of my favorite people on the planet was in town. We were able to share some dinner Friday night and catch up a little bit. Nothing quite like old friends!!
And then the washing machine incident…
This morning I got up and was being very productive by doing laundry, cleaning up around my apartment etc. In the midst of my productiveness I realized that I didn’t know where my phone was. After a quick search I came to a horrible realization. The load of sheets that were currently going through the spin cycle in my washing machine had my phone tangled up in them. My phone must have been sitting on my bed when I gathered up the sheets. Needless to say, it didn’t make it out alive. The man at the AT&T store explained that even though I paid for insurance every month, it was cost me $150 to cover my insurance deductible to replace the phone. Not to mention the shipping charges and the waiting time it would take to send them my water logged phone and wait for a new one to show up. I wasn’t a very satisfied customer at that point. Long story short, I have a new phone. One that I have no idea how to use and one that has none of my contacts on it. Sad day.
