My Splurge
Yesterday afternoon I found myself wandering the isles at my local Target. As I was checking out, a lady walked up behind me proudly caring a Wii Fit. I immediately put on the southern charm and asked her if there were anymore left. She said that she thought she saw a few more on the shelf back in the electronics department. I quickly finished my purchase, took the bag to my car, and did a half run/half walk back inside the store.
Lets back up a little bit…
I for one have never been a video game type of girl. I actually hated the fact that the ex owned (and spent hours in front of) an XBox. The Wii somehow caught my attention though. I had the privilege of playing with one at a party when they first came out several years ago and honestly have been secretly wanting one ever since. Well needless to say, when the Wii Fit was introduced last year I was intrigued!
Since being back in Georgia the Wii fever has grown substantially. I’m fairly certain that everyone I know owns one (sounds cliche I know)! The Wii is definitely the “thing” to have right now and I really wanted to jump on the bandwagon! I justify it simply because it is actually good for you. That is stretching it… I know.
Anyway, back to Target. Sure enough, I get back to the electronics section and see a few Wii Fits calling my name. I elbowed my way through the crowd and laid my hands on one of the boxes. Surprisingly, this particular Target also had the actual Wii console in stock. Within minutes I was walking back to my car… with two more bags.
I am pretty excited to get out of work today and get home to setup the new toy. I’ll let you know how it goes… pictures coming soon!!!
